"The9, operator of WoW in China, issued a press release earlier which announces that they have received a record amount of concurrent users playing WoW.Many warlocks have leveled as affliction locks due to the excellent sustainability of the build. According to the PR, 1 million players logged in which is ""the highest concurrency since the game's commercial launch in June 2005 following the launch of its new expansion pack, World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade, in mainland China on September 6, 2007"".We are used to making snap decisions about DoTs on the fly and we enjoy the versatility warlocks have with respect to killing stuff: fear-kiting, drain-tanking and so on. With all the stories of WoW reaching its peak usersbase this week, this latest milestone seems to fly in the face of industry opinion and proves once again that WoW is as popular as ever, especially over in the Far East. This is an interesting thing to learn.Hence it is understandable if some affliction players complain that the destro playstyle is "boring" or a "no-brainer" - since the active interaction with what's happening on screen is cut down significantly. Many people have conjectured that WoW isn't making as much money as some people think, since such a large portion of the player base is actually in China. It is however interesting to note that on the WWS Scoreboard, a neat ranking chart based on raid data pulled from WoW Web Stats, just 10 of 15 top Warlock DPSers are 0/21/40. I've seen quotes of up to half of Blizzard's reported concurrent user estimates are in China.Out of the five who aren't destro locks, two are demonology, one is affliction and two have hybrid demo/destro builds - building for Soul Link probably.
or wow It seems the numbers have been greatly overestimated. Korean gamers still make up a large portion of the player base, but they actually pay more than we do to play WoW, albeit on a weekly schedule (wouldn't that be nice...). This means that even with overhead, Blizzard isn't hurting for cash from their Chinese operations.
wow 1 mil concurrent player. At the point I'm at now, my DoTs are overkill for even-con mobs so I still waste mana unless fighting elites, but DoTs are cheap, and I can get mana back easily.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If all of those people played 1 hr, and paid $1 to do it, they just made 1 million in one hour's time.I may do slightly less damage than a Destlock, but it's not significant. 500k if they paid 50 cents. What is significant is how flexible I am now. holy cow. P.S.Fear-kiting is powerful too, and much easier with good DoTs. There isn't much RMT in Chinese servers since it's simply not profitable at all, cuz the payout rate is significantly lower (think 5 fold or more) than if they simply sell to foreigners." "Well last night was our best raid ever. My guild had a tough time in Magister's Terrace, but I joined and fear-cc'd plus fear-kite and we waltzed through the place (fear only gets adds with inexperienced players). After 2 weeks of attempts on Kael we waltzed into TK and downed him first try, not content with this we went to (a cleared) SSC and downed Vashj on the 2nd attempt. The only complaint I have with the spec is that my DPS starts slowly, then builds to a frenzy.
world of warcraft powerleveling With the raid now fully attuned we went to look at Mount Hyjal. It would be nice if I had a spell that applied all my DoTs at once, because even though most are instant, there's still the global cooldown between each cast. After a lol worthy ninja talk to Jaina and subsequent wipe we managed to one shot Rage Winterchill on the first proper attempt. Blizzard also seems to want most of us to become shadow bolt spammers in the end, as Warlock tier 6 gear favors shadow bolting locks. After that about 12 of us completed our BT attunement."Why is Blizzard not making gear tailored to our favorite build.
wow po We went in to have a look, one shotted some patrols, got a few hearts of darkness and called it a night." is the question asked by many affliction warlocks.

So Kael, Vashj, Rage Winterchill, MH & BT attunement and a peek into BT all in one night.I had planned on switching back sometime, for raiding and such, but just never did. Great success So thats my best raid ever please share your special raiding moments! my best raid, well,
Blacksmithing I was stuck on the sidelines, some of my gear was junk, had bringer of death etc. spent a week on Slabs grinding LC rep, got the LC weapon, got it enchanted, got some other gear, basically increased by bonus spelldmg by over 200, finally got into a raid for more than a few minutes, we blew up SSC and I got the Tier 5 helm why was this my best night. To my surprise I found myself still usually out-damaging everyone in dungeons.
eve isk because I had put in alot of time and effort and I got rewarded for it, it felt good to see my efforts becoming worthwhile and to get to experience a major raid boss fight for the first time runner up I also got to be a part of our guilds first attempt on ZA, which was really cool, first time I got to be one of the first to experience something, it was fun if not grueling, since ZA is not the most pleasant place in the game, and I got the Wub's Cursed Hexblade out of it too. For me, it was still the first Nefarian kill.Plus it's really valuable to be able to heal myself so well.
